(Al-Ikhlas) 112 : 1
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

You say: “He is Allah, the One.”

Just like the Arabic Qur’an reading Fujjar, who are serving the disbeliever Satan by hiding Allah and His Messengers in the Book, the Meccan pagans during the period of the Messenger also believed in Allah. If they were asked who created them, who gives life and causes death, who created the heavens and the earth, who subjected the sun and the moon, whom they would invoke when trapped in the darkness of sea and land, who protects all while needing no protection, who deserves praise and glorification by all, and who knows the seen and unseen, they answered “Allah.” Yet their practical life did not reflect consideration of Allah as He should be considered. If Adhikr is used as the Criterion, it becomes clear that the life of today’s Fujjar has fallen into deeper darkness than that of the Meccan pagans.

Although those who associate others in the dominion of Allah claim belief in Him, their belief is not as the Lord’s Book Adhikr submits. These people speak of Allah as Lord, King, and Deity of mankind with their tongues, but they do not approve this with their souls nor testify to it through their lives. They hold evil concepts about the Lord and thus face evil consequences, as stated in verse 48: 6. They are destined for the seven doors of Hellfire, as told in verse 15: 44, and their Ledger is in Sijjeen of the Hell, as mentioned in verse 83: 7. By ascribing intercessors and intermediators to gain nearness to Allah, they associate others in His Uloohiyyath; by obeying hypocritical leaders against the Lord’s Book, they associate others in His Ruboobiyyath; and by denying His absolute control, they associate others in His Mulookiyyath. Thus, they are the true disbelievers mentioned in verses 4: 150–151. Though commanded to believe Allah is the Knower of the unseen, they instead seek knowledge from arrogant human forces. While reading that Allah alone deserves praise and glorification, they glorify Messengers, saints, and hypocritical leaders instead. The Meccan pagans during the period of the Messenger Muhammad had not even a single copy of the Lord’s Book to read, even though they told the Messenger that “oh the one upon whom Adhikr is sent down, you are a Jinn affected man” as told in verse 15: 6. Today, the Fujjar possess many copies of the Arabic Qur’an but are driven away from Islam by reading it. The hypocritical leaders and their blind followers will argue and curse one another in the Fire as explained in verses 2: 165-167. See explanation 2: 255; 10: 100; 103: 1–3; and 109: 1–6.
